Break free of the 9 – 5 lifestyle.

Hey guys,  I haven’t been able to write up a new post for quite a while now ( Hurray for procrastination! ) but I’ll try to get back in the game this year, get some new posts, articles and rants on the site.

First of all, if you’re reading this, then you’re probably here because you’re asking yourself “Is it really possible?“. Can someone like you, really achieve a lifestyle free from the normal 9 – 5 schedule?

Well then, I’m here to say. YES. It really is possible.

All you need as a digital nomad.

Gone are the days where we have to lock ourselves up in the office or in cubicles, grinding the day away in the corporate world.

Gone are the days where there are no options other than the typical 9 – 5 job.

In this age of information, ignorance is a choice.

There are a lot of ways to earn online, a lot of available work that can be done remotely. A belief exists that in order to work from home, you either had to be in IT or Computer Science. Definitely not true. There’s a wide range of jobs that one can do that doesn’t necessarily need technical familiarity with programming or coding.

If you haven’t read it yet, I’d suggest to read my first article on how I transitioned over to become a digital nomad ( Life as a Digital Nomad ). It’s almost a year since I left the corporate world and I’m really not planning to go back any time soon.

Working in Boracay, with my girlfriend and her family.

For the two years I was locked inside the office environment, I struggled to find work-life-balance. Having left it and being able to work remotely, literally anywhere in the world with an internet connection, I can say I’ve found it.

Freedom at its finest.

If you do a quick Google search online on companies or jobs for remote work, I assure you, you’ll find a lot of available listings on different websites. Earning online isn’t only limited to remote work either, there are other ways to earn ( for me, I’m trying to build up this blog and learning dropshipping, I’ve also previously earned doing Cost Per Acquisiton marketing. )

It takes courage to leave your comfort zones, to go outside the norms and take risks, but if the reward is happiness, by all means, go ahead!

I’m glad I did a year ago.

Take that leap of faith and believe.
